Oven baked chicken drumsticks and fries

This is one recipe I was not a big fun of. The texture of the chicken was very good, but the taste… not sure what exactly I didn’t like about it. Hubby was not a big fun either.

Surprisingly it has very good reviews on the website from where I got the recipe (here). They do look very delicious! I guess I have to try a different recipe…

The fries however turned out amazing, so I will put the recipe for that instead. I use a fryer (it’s much easier than cooking them over the pan). Also, I use a mandoline to slice the potatoes, to get nice, similar size fries.

Ingredients (fries)

4 large potatoes
ice cubes
salt
mayonnaise

Instructions

Peel your potatoes. Slice them using a mandoline.
In a medium bowl, mix cold water and ice cubes. Add the fries and let them soak for about 10 minutes.

In the meantime, start your fryer at 347 F. When heated, add the fries and cook for about 13 minutes (or according to your fryer instructions).

Line a serving bowl with a scott towel. When fries are ready (golden brown), put them in a bowl and add salt to taste. Serve with your favorite meal and mayonnaise.

Bon appétit.
