Sesame Ginger Bok Choi

This is by far the best bok choi recipe I ever had! My hubby is not really a fan of bok choi, but he loved this one. And so did I!

I followed the original recipe almost by the book, with the exception of being too lazy to grate fresh ginger or garlic, so I used minced ginger and garlic from a jar… It still turned out amazing!

Ingredients

1 tbsp vegetable oil
2 cloves garlic crushed and chopped (or 1 tsp of minced garlic from a jar)
1 tsp fresh ginger (or from jar)
baby bok choi
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp water
1/4 tsp chili flakes
sesame seeds to garnish

Instructions

Combine sesame oil, soy sauce, water and chili flakes in a small bowl. Set aside.

Heat the oil in a large skillet and cook the garlic and ginger until fragrant, 1 to 2 minutes.

Cut the white parts of the bok choi and cook them for 3-4 minutes.

Add the soy sauce mixture and leaves and cook 2 minutes more until heated through and leaves are gently wilted.

Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve.

Bon appétit.
